Class Description:
I’m looking forward to a fun year in Kindergarten. Our class time will consist of Bible, Phonics, History, Writing, Language Arts, Math, and Science. Although every subject will not be taught each time we are together, my goal is to touch on each one. I love hands-on learning so we will be up moving around and using different manipulatives to apply what we have learned. There will be some table time to reinforce certain subjects. We will allow time for snacks and fellowship with our friends. We may even take some of our lessons outside, weather permitting. I will be pulling my lessons from different resources and not one set curriculum. I hope this year as kindergartners you will develop a love for learning and make special friendships for the years to come at CCA. I have been praying for each one of you and can’t wait for our time together.
Required Textbooks and Materials:
A snack and drink with spill-proof lid. I will provide everything else needed.
Homework Estimate: None
Teacher Bio:
Hi, my name is Jennifer Moses and I have been married to my husband Sam for 19 years. We have one son named Taylor who will be in the 8th grade this school year. God put homeschooling on my heart when my son was very young. I have homeschooled him since kindergarten. I have enjoyed getting to see him grow and learn every day. We have been a part of CCA for 9 years. I also enjoy teaching Kindergarten Sunday School and Awana at church. This will be my 4th year teaching kindergarten at CCA. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son shoot archery. Teaching this class has been such a blessing to me and I look forward to the upcoming school year.

Class Description:
We will have lots of fun in our time together exploring Science, Phonics, Math, and Art. Each class will consist of circle time (instruction, songs, stories, and games). We will not be able to complete each subject every week, as there just isn’t enough time, but we will mix it up a bit so the children are learning different things from different areas each week. We will create crafts related to the topics we study. We will also allot time for some yummy snacks that parents send for their child, along with some structured outdoor playtime with friends. I am not using a specific curriculum. I am basing lessons on seasons, months, holidays, etc. My goal for this class is to learn some unique things they may not learn at home. I also want them to have some fun hands-on activities while making new friends. We will do some table work, as it enhances instruction, but our focus is to create something unique that relates to our daily topic. Some of our activities will be messy, so please dress your child accordingly. We will have a lot of fun. I can’t wait!
Required Textbooks and Materials:
backpack, snack, and water bottle
Homework Estimate: No homework. Although, there may be a few times we have a fun assignment to complete at home and bring back to share with the class.
