Teacher Bio:
“I have been a homeschooling mom for 10 years. My kiddos are Aiden, a working adult, Lily Kate, an 8th grader, and Jake, a 6th grader this fall. Before my daughter was born, I taught kindergarten in the public school system, but have also taught various other grades and in the private sector. My husband, Walker, and I have been married for 17 years. We love our church, The Journey, and are very active in the various ministry opportunities found there. We love playing board games and dreaming about the days when we used to have free time. Most of our ‘free’ time these days is spent driving our children to basketball games/practices and ballet rehearsals. My name is Misty Hunter, and I have homeschooled my two girls for over eight years now. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Grades 1-8 and a Master’s Degree in Administration and Leadership. This is my seventh year teaching for CCA, and I taught in the public school system for 10 years. My passion is to educate children. My goal is to teach in a positive nature in which children learn to love the process of learning. I enjoy teaching with hands-on, real-life techniques.”
