Class Description:
I’m looking forward to a fun year in Kindergarten. Our class time will consist of Bible, Phonics, History , Writing, Language Arts, Math, and Science. Although every subject will not be taught each time we are together, my goal is to touch on each one. I love hands-on learning so we will be up moving around and using different manipulatives to apply what we have learned. There will be some table time to reinforce certain subjects. We will allow time for snack and fellowship with our friends. We may even take some of our lessons outside, weather permitting. I will be pulling my lessons from different resources and not one set curriculum. I hope this year as kindergartners that you will develop a love for learning and make special friendships for the years to come at CCA. I have been praying for each one of you and can’t wait for our time together.
Required Textbooks and Materials:
Backpack, Folder, Snack, and Drink with spill proof lid. I will provide crayons, scissors, glue, pencils etc.
Homework Estimate: No required homework

Hi, my name is Jennifer Moses and I have been married to my husband Sam for 16 years. We have one son named Taylor who will be in the 5th grade. God put homeschool on my heart when my son was very young. I have homeschooled him from the beginning. I have enjoyed getting to see him grow and learn everyday. We have been at CCA for six years. I teach Kindergarten Sunday School and Awana at church. This past year I enjoyed being a substitute teacher at CCA and I am looking forward to teaching Kindergarten this school year.

Class Description:
“We will have lots of fun in our time together exploring Science, Geography, History, Language Arts, Phonics, Math, and Art. Each class will consist of circle time (instruction, songs, stories, and games). We will not be able to complete each subject every week, as there just isn’t enough time, but we will mix it up a bit, so the children are learning different things from different areas each week. We will create crafts related to the topics we study. We will also allot time for some yummy snacks that parents send for their child, along with some structured outdoor playtime with friends. I am not using a specific curriculum. I am basing lessons on seasons, months, holidays, etc. My goal for this class is to learn some unique things they may not learn at home. I also want them to have some fun hands-on activities while making new friends. We will do some table work, as it does enhance instruction, but our focus is to create something unique that relates to our daily topic. Some of our activities will be messy, so please dress your child accordingly. We will have a lot of fun. Can’t wait!”
Required Textbooks and Materials:
Backpack, folder, snack, drink, and a change of clothes.
Homework Estimate: No required homework. Sometimes they may have something to memorize or report back to me, but nothing required.
Teacher Bio:
“I have been a homeschooling mom for 6 years. I currently have kiddos in 11th, 5th and 2nd grades. Before my daughter was born, I taught Kindergarten in the public school system, but have also taught various other grades and in the private sector. My husband, Walker, and I have been married for 13 years. We both teach at CCA currently, so Tuesdays are a family affair. We love our church, The Journey, and are very active in the various ministry opportunities found there. We love camping, kayaking, gardening and yard work, spending time with friends, playing board games, and heading out to the lake.”
